Welcome to the Education research guide. This is where you will find a one stop service to assist you in your studies or research at Midlands State University. We offer individual training to undergraduate and postgraduate students and staff in the use of different library platforms as well how to access collections.
The Midlands State University Library is committed to providing high quality services to our users. All hardcopy textbooks are assigned call (class) numbers which are derived from the Library of Congress classfication scheme described here, for example LB1028 stands for the subject Educational Psychology. For easy access to the hardcopy textbooks you can search for their physical location in the library using the Online Public Access Catalogue – (OPAC).
The Midlands State University Disability Resource Centre Libraries (DRC) are located at both the Gweru and Harare Campuses to provide services to students with special needs. The Libraries have equipment such as braille embossers, computers and magnifying readers as well as the Jaws software which assist users with special needs to efficiently access information.
